This form is to indicate interest in participating in the ACS SUSTAIN Collaborative. If you are only interested in attending the Nov 18 ACS / ASA Collaboration Webinar, please only answer questions 1-4 and 10. Thank you!
1. What is SUSTAIN?

SUSTAIN (Surgical Sustainability Team for Action and Innovation) is a surgeon-led collaborative under the ACS Quality portfolio aimed at supporting surgical teams to implement high-impact, low-barrier sustainability initiatives. These efforts focus on improving environmental performance while generating measurable financial and operational benefits.

2. Why are we starting this now?

Operating rooms are the highest-emitting hospital departments and major contributors to waste. Proven, actionable strategies now exist to reduce surgical environmental impact without compromising quality. With growing surgeon interest and aligned goals in quality, safety, and cost-efficiency, ACS has an opportunity to lead.

3. What are next steps?

In the next page, sign up for the collaborative to join a community of healthcare professionals committed to sustainability. You’ll gain access to shared resources, peer support, and practical advice from others who’ve successfully implemented sustainable practices in their own institutions.
