The following information is provided for you to decide whether you wish to participate in the present study. You should be aware that even if you agree to participate, you are free to withdraw at any time without penalty.
We are interested in studying how you experience thoughts about events that could have occurred in your life. You will be completing a series of questionnaires when you click ‘Next,’ at the bottom of the page. You will be contacted one week later and asked to complete similar questionnaires.
Although participation will not directly benefit you, we believe that the information will be useful in determining how we experience events in our lives.
Your participation is solicited although strictly voluntary. We assure you that your name will not be associated in any way with the research findings. The information will be identified only by a code number. Raw data will be kept in secured digital files. Results may be reported in the School of Psychology at Avila University, in a presentation at a professional conference, or as a peer-reviewed article.
