Build our Leadership - Join the Board!

Submit your personal application for the MTCPA Board of Directors. All nominations must be received by December 20 of each year. Please provide a brief statement explaining why you are a strong candidate, as well as any relevant experience such as prior Board or Committee service within MTCPA or other professional organizations.
Meeting Schedule:

Board members are expected to meet five times a year:
  • January
  • May (three-day board retreat/orientation)
  • June (Annual Conference)
  • August
  • October/November

Meeting Details:
  • All board meetings, unless otherwise decided, are two days long.
  • Specific dates are determined collectively by the Board.
  • In-person attendance is encouraged, but a virtual option is available for those unable to travel.
  • Travel and lodging expenses are the responsibility of each Board member, except for the Board Retreat in May.

Additional Expectations:
  • All Board members must attend the Board Retreat.
  • New directors and officers officially take office at the Annual Conference in June.
  • Directors serve a three-year term and may be asked in their second year to consider an officer position.
  • Directors are expected to serve as a liaison to one or more MTCPA committees, participating in their meetings (usually via conference calls) and representing the committee at the Board level.
