In its 33rd year, the Woman of the Year (WOTY) award shines the spotlight on women with tenured experience who have significantly contributed to the healthcare industry. In their roles, these game changers have helped drive innovation, global leadership change and/or scientific advancements, served as mentors, and fostered an inclusive environment in the workplace that is working to bring about greater health equity and outcomes for all women. 
 
The global network of HBA recognizes the Woman of the Year at our annual May event in New York City, bringing together influential executives, leaders, and media to celebrate this extraordinary champion on a global stage.
 
Here’s how to nominate an exceptional leader in your network:
 
  • Complete the Nomination Form including the three questions about how your nominee meets the criteria
  • Upload four to five letters of recommendation (each should be no more than 400 words)
  • Submit the $300/€292.16 entry fee 
Applications will be accepted through 21 October. You will be notified with the results by email or a phone call in early December. Regardless of the outcome, thank you for taking the time to put together a submission to recognize individuals who deserve the spotlight and merit recognition from our United Force for Change.

The HBA’s Woman of the Year (WOTY) honor is one of the healthcare industry’s most prestigious awards recognizing an individual who has served as a role model for excellence in leadership throughout her career. This respected individual may work for a large company or be an entrepreneur—the common denominator is that she has been an inspiration to many because of her innovative leadership, business acumen, and track record of mentoring and sponsoring top talent.   
 
Equally important, the Woman of the Year has been a champion for equity in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the influence and impact of women in the industry and driving progress to greater health equity and outcomes.
