The Fairbanks North Star Borough is working on a plan to address climate change at the local level. The plan will focus on borough facilities and operations and will include measures to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to changing conditions. The goal is to help protect the health, safety, and well-being of borough residents.

The effort was created through a measure passed by the Borough Assembly and is directed by a committee that includes one Assembly member, five members of the public, and the Borough mayor. The consulting firm RESPEC is developing the plan. The purpose of this survey is to gather input from our community to help decide where to focus borough efforts.
