Writer's Mentorship

Mentorships are all about you and what you need to realise your project. Get one-on-one advice from a professional writer on writing goals, industry advice, craft, development, critique, or ongoing motivation in this longer form, in-depth review of your project.

Queensland Writers Centre will match you with a writing industry professional with specific experience relevant to you and your project's needs. Mentorship hours take the form of a mix of one-on-one meetings and reading/reviewing time. Depending on availability, mentoring may take place either face-to-face, by online video call, or by phone or email.

You will pay at the end of this survey.
All mentorships begin with an initial Consult with your mentor. Prior to this meeting, you will be asked to submit up to 5000 words, or 10 poems, which you will discuss together. The purpose of the consult is to establish rapport and the ways in which an ongoing mentorship could be of most benefit to you and your project. Additional 5 hour blocks ($460) or 10 hour blocks ($900) of mentorship can be added at any time, pending mentor availability.
