This study will evaluate Massachusetts dentists’ use of data from the Massachusetts Prescription Awareness Tool (MassPAT) and their assessment of at-risk patients to help develop future continuing education
programs to promote safe and efficient prescribing habits and appropriate pain management practices.

This is an anonymous survey. It will take about 10-15 minutes of your time to complete and the results will be analyzed by the MGH/HSDM team and Massachusetts Dental Society. Please answer as completely as you can. No personal data will be identified. The results will be used to help improve continuing education opportunities in safe and effective pain control for dentists in Massachusetts. It will also help to determine how and to what extent dentists are using the MassPAT database in their clinical practices. It is intended to publish the results and conclusions. Again no personal data will be identified. On behalf of the MDS, we very much appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey.
