About the Award

Employers across the state are acknowledging the value of employing people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in their place of business. The Arc New York Employer Recognition Awards provide Chapters with an opportunity to recognize an individual, corporation or business in New York state that has demonstrated outstanding support in providing services and job opportunities for people who have intellectual or other developmental disabilities. Four (4) awards are presented annually. One (1) recipient will be selected from each region.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The nominated business must not be owned, operated, or a subsidiary of a Chapter of The Arc New York
  • The nominated business must employ people with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Each Chapter may submit one (1) nomination

Nomination Requirements
  • Completed nomination form
  • Letters of support are highly recommended
  • Up to three (3) letters of support and/or supporting documents may be submitted

The Arc New York Employer Recognition Awards will be presented virtually August 13, 2025. Additional details will be provided at a later date.
