World Usability Day was founded by the User Experience Professionals’ Association (UXPA) to ensure that the services and products that are so important in everyday life are easier to access and more simple to use – an event which Telono has been a proud sponsor of since 2006! 

This year’s theme is sustainable [green] UX. The event will feature two presentations, which will be followed by drinks!

Florian Egger (Telono) – Introduction: "What makes UX sustainable?" (15min)

Thomas Weinhold (HUG)
– “Usability of health technologies"  (30 minutes):Thomas will introduce us to the activities and ongoing projects of the EVAluation LABoratory at the “Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève”, especially a bilateral research project (HUG, CHRU Lille) aims to establish scientific evidence of critical methodological choices for cost-effective usability validations.

Paul Bristow (consultant, co-president of the Geneva Global Goals Innovation Day association) – “Innovating for the Sustainable Development Goals and the impact on UX“ (30min): Paul will present his latest innovation program with multiple partners from across International Geneva.

More about the speakers:

Florian is the founder and CEO of Telono SA, a Geneva-based user experience (UX) research and design consultancy, founded in 2005. Florian manages a team of user researchers and interaction designers who strive to make products and services more intuitive, more usable and as enjoyable as they were intended to be.

Thomas is a Human Factors and Ergonomics Engineer at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), Division of medical information sciences (SIMED) and is fully involved in the EVAluation LABoratory (EVALAB) projects of the hospital. The EVALAB's aim is to assess usability of medical devices and applications as well as to take into account human factors in the health domain.

Paul is a Consultant, Clear Thinking, and Co-President of the Geneva Global Goals Innovation Day association. Technology, Strategy & Communication, Open Source Innovation, Clear Thinking SARL.
