Hanover Borough owns two significant park parcels south of the Borough: Long Arm Reservoir (774 acres) and Sheppard-Myers Reservoir (1,523 acres). These parks include reservoirs that provide drinking water for the Borough and surrounding communities and conservation lands that surround the water bodies. Currently the parks are open for hiking, fishing, and kayaking on Long Arm Reservoir.
The Borough has hired a team of consultants to evaluate the two parks and develop a master plan for the properties as public parks.
