Urban and peri-urban agriculture can be a game-changer to help stabilize agrifood chains in times of crisis, while also turning some of the negative features of large cities into beneficial inputs for farming operations and overall resilience of cities and food systems. Furthermore, in the context of the COVID-19 crisis, the relevance of urban agriculture has become even more clear. Venture capital and bank investments have been consistently increasing in the sector.

This survey on urban and peri-urban agriculture is conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Survey findings aim to identify areas of investment, new technologies, emerging business models, as well as challenges, opportunities and risks for practitioners and stakeholders when engaging in urban and peri-urban agriculture activities.

Your participation in this survey will be entirely confidential and anonymous, and will guarantee you exclusive access to the forthcoming FAO/EBRD report on urban and peri-urban agriculture.

Thank you for your participation.
