Feedback about the Washougal Schools levies

As you’re likely aware, our recent school levies did not pass. We are gathering feedback from our patrons to better understand the results of the failed levies. We are also gathering any other information or ideas you would like to share. This information will be shared with the school board as they process next steps.

Ideas shared will also help shape our district budget and help prioritize cuts. Without funding provided by the levies, the district would need to cut about 18% of the budget, and would be unable to fund:

Programs like sports, clubs, visual and performing arts productions
Staff that lower class sizes, additional counselors, health and safety staff, building and district leadership, secretaries, librarians, technical support
Services like food service, transportation, technology replacement, facility maintenance and repairs
