About the event

Join us as we celebrate the Past, Present, and Future of Librarianship and the history of librarians of the Philadelphia area.

When:      Monday, May 6, 2019 - 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Where:      Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Center City Philadelphia, 10 Avenue of the Arts

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel was built on the site of the restaurant in which the initial meeting was held to form the Special Libraries Council of Philadelphia and Vicinity, the precursor of the SLA Philadelphia Chapter.  This building was later converted to a bank (The Girard Trust Company) and built in the Neoclassical style.

**There will be a tour of the Union League and the former bank facilities, starting at 4:00pm. A separate sign up sheet will be available closer to the day of the event.
