  • Primostar 3 Compound Upright Microscope with 40x to 400x total magnification:
    • Objective lenses: 4x, 10x, 40x
    • Eyepieces: 10x 
    • Transmitted light bright field and phase contrast 
    • Best for: specimens on microscope slides, with coverslip, e.g., sectioned and stained tissue, microorganisms (e.g., pond water), blood, geological sections… 
 
  • Stemi 305 Stereo Dissecting Microscope with 8x to 40x total magnification 
    • Magnification: 0.8x to 4x continuous zoom range
    • Eyepieces: 10x 
    • Three Illumination sources for various specimens:
      • Transmitted light: bright field and dark field, LED
      • Reflected light: vertical illumination, LED
      • Reflected light: adjustable-angle spotlight, LED
    • Best for: larger, 3-dimensional objects, e.g., insects, plant matter, aquatic organisms, fruit flies, rocks  
 
Included with both of the microscope options above: 
  • Axiocam 208 color Digital Microscope Camera
    • 4K ultra-high def color camera
      • Note: the camera is internally integrated into the Primostar 3, and is an external attachment for the Stemi 305
    • USB Connection: all required accessories included
    • Requires Labscope or ZEN software

  • Labscope Imaging Software
    • Simple user interface for displaying the live microscope view to all students.
    • Acquire photos and videos of your specimens for lecture notes and tests.
    • Annotate images with scale bars and labels.
