Introduction

Thank you for your interest in applying to serve volunteer on one of Compass’ consulting teams for the 2022-23 project cycle. 

While our Classic and Micro Projects have begun, this application form is open for those interested in being placed on our waitlist. We maintain an active waitlist throughout the project year as circumstances arise where we need to bring another volunteer on a consulting team. 

Classic Projects run from October 2022 to May 2023. Each team has a Project Leader, Deputy Project Leader (by invitation only), and 6 Team Members. 

Micro Projects run from late February through June 2023. Each team has a Project Leader and 4 team members. 

Volunteers (Team Members)
Team Members must have at least one year of post-undergraduate professional experience. Team Members should expect to commit an average of 3 hours/week (including team meetings) through June 2023 and must review the Volunteer Orientation and Service Line Training.

Note about 2022-23 Projects
The Compass program is hybrid this year. From our experiences over the past two years, we know that Compass can work well virtually, but we also know the experience is greatly enhanced by in person touch-points. This year, all Compass trainings are provided as recordings within Google Drive, and we will hold some social and networking events in-person. Volunteers can expect that most team meetings will be conducted virtually. We strongly encourage teams to visit client sites and gather occasionally in-person if it can be done safely and in accordance with public health guidelines.
