Barefoot at the Beach could not be a success without the volunteers who donate their time and help. There are many ways to get involved at the event! The following volunteer opportunities are listed below with their time commitments.

MUST BE 21+ TO VOLUNTEER DURING EVENT.
Please only sign up for one volunteer team, but feel free to sign up for multiple time slots with that team.

* 6. Volunteer Care Team

Shift Descriptions:

Shift 1: Check in volunteers, give them their T-shirt, and ensure their waiver is complete. Explain the layout of the event. Ensure the care team tent is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Direct new volunteers to their stations.

Shift 2: Ensure all volunteers have water and food when needed. Ensure the care team tent is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Shift 2 is expected to leave volunteer tent organized when leaving.

*Understanding the event layout and different volunteer tasks will be helpful (additional pre-event training available).

* 7. Food & Beverage Team

Shift Descriptions:

Shift 1*: Assist with set up of bars and restaurants. Move any items needed for the bars and restaurants. This can include ice, utensils, alcohol, mixers, or paper products. Greet restaurant servers and direct them to the correct tent. Ensure all restaurant servers know where bathrooms, First Aid, and emergency exits are located.

Shift 3:
Check in with bars and restaurants to see if they need supplies such as ice, utensils, and paper products. Ensure bars and restaurant areas are kept tidy. As restaurants are done for the evening, assist with clean up.

*Heavy lifting may be needed.

* 8. Arrangements Team

Shift Descriptions:

Shift 1: Assist in decor set up such as centerpieces, large decor items, and tablecloths. Clean up areas as set up is completed to prepare for event guests. Collect trash on beach.

Shift 2: Pick up/fix any decorations that have fallen to maintain the look of the event. Collect trash on beach and guest tables.

Shift 3: Light tiki torches at dusk. Help with event clean up such as remove centerpieces and tablecloths.

* 9. Parking Lot Team

Shift Descriptions:

All Shifts: Direct staff, volunteers, and event partners to the back of the first parking lot. Direct VIP guests and sponsor limos to the first parking lot and all other guests to remaining lots. Direct non-event guests to other lots in the park. Inform guests of shuttle service, answer any questions, direct guests to front gate, and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Shift Descriptions:

All Shifts*: Empty trash bins, replace trash bag, and dump full bags outside of the event fence. Pick up trash off the ground and ensure it gets thrown away or recycled.

Collect full bags from outside the fence with golf carts and take the trash to the dumpster or the recycling to the designated area.

*Heavy lifting will be required.
