Creation of the Navajo Weaving Minor at Diné College

Information:

The School of Arts, Humanities, and English (SAHE) is gathering community input on the creation of a Navajo Weaving Minor at Diné College.

This minor will provide Diné College students with opportunities to explore Navajo weaving design variations, technical approaches, and philosophical understandings of Navajo weaving within the realms of fine arts, cultural arts, and Navajo ways of knowing. Students will learn through both research and project-based endeavors.

The Navajo Weaving minor is intended for Diné College students from all BA, BFA, and BS programs and is preparing for student enrollment as early as Fall 2021.
