This online course will start by 5pm Friday the 7th of October 2022. (Final registrations close on this day at 9am).

Only sign up to this course if you feel that your English pronunciation is sometimes unclear or you lack confidence with English pronunciation AND you will commit to 1 hour minimum of Speech Active study per week over 6 months. If not, please do not sign up as there are limited places available.

WSU wants to support students with developing their spoken English skills. This year, WSU is offering limited places for Speech Active English Pronunciation & Fluency online courses for free, at no cost to students.

This course will help you speak English more clearly, improve your English pronunciation skills and speaking confidence. You will also improve your fluency and conversation skills.

Here's more on Speech Active's English Pronunciation Course and what is expected of you:

this course is free to WSU students (normal cost $596 per person).
you'll learn with video, audio & notes
you will need to watch a minimum of two 20 minute video modules each week over 4 months (you will have 6 months access to allow a break for exams / assignments)
ideally you will spend 15 minutes a day practising your spoken English
WSU requests that you complete at least 5 lessons (approx 5 hours of study). If you do not complete the first 5 lessons you may be asked to pay a $50 non-completion fee.

When the course starts, we will give your videos, audio files and notes, but it's essential that you practise and actively transfer your new skills into your everyday conversations.
