Supporting the Mental Health of Yazidi Refugees in Canada

This free, online course is on the mental health needs of Yazidi refugees in Canada. It is a special populations course which is a supplement to the current Immigrant and Refugee Mental Health Project (IRMHP) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).  The Immigrant and Refugee Mental Health Project is a capacity-building project funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. 

As a course participant, you will gain access five modules that outline the Yazidi history and background, promising practices, and resources that are applicable for settlement, social and health service sectors in facilitating successful integration of Yazidis in Canada. The course’s interactive learning environment will let you engage with experts in the field and thousands of service providers from across Canada. It is recommended, but not mandatory, that learners first complete the Immigrant and Refugee Mental Health Program online course as it provides a comprehensive background for working with mental health in general with refugees in Canada.
