March 29, 2023 - 10 a.m. via Zoom

Collection development policies are important documents that provide guidance to staff and help defend your library from material challenges. Evaluating and updating your policy and procedures is a critical component to their effectiveness. In this participatory virtual workshop, attendees will be provided a trusted space to review the collection development policies of their peers and get advice on how to strengthen their own. This workshop is designed for library managers, administrators, selectors, and front-line staff who may encounter challenges. Whether you are just starting to develop a policy or have had one for years, your participation and input is valued.

Please note: all registrants must submit their existing or draft policies (watermarked as DRAFT if not yet approved). These will be shared with the group for review.

This program is open to PLP library members only. Zoom information will be sent to you after your membership is verified. This program will not be recorded.
