ABOUT RUST COLLEGE:
Rust College is a historically Black, co-educational, senior liberal arts college founded in 1866 by the Freedman’s Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church to offer quality programs in business, education, humanities, science and math, and social science to prepare students for leadership and service in a global society.

FYE (First Year Experience)  is designed to assists students as they transition to college life.  By encouraging students to become a part of the larger Rust College Community we are introducing students to academic and co-curricular opportunities. FYE students work with advisors to create unique academic and financial plans for their education and future.

OASIS (Optimizing Academic Success, Improving Students):
Students receive orientation for two weeks to prepare them for their college career. OASIS is Rust College’s way of ensuring that new students are prepared for becoming part of the Rust College community. This is an opportunity for students to be introduced to their academic program, policies, and curriculum and degree requirements.  Students will be advised, registered, and receive their student College ID and NETIDs.
