The City of Urbana, in partnership with residents, local businesses, and community partners, is finalizing a Plan for a portion of the North Main Street corridor. The goal of the plan is to guide future development and redevelopment opportunities. The planning process will result in recommendations for future land use, zoning code updates or revisions, and infrastructure improvements to support investment in the area.

Public input was gathered throughout the process including two public meetings, two public surveys, and three steering committee meetings.
