UNIDO survey on the impact of COVID-19 on manufacturing firms in Thailand |
Dear Madam/Sir,
We would like to invite you to participate in a survey to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the industrial sector of Thailand. The survey is promoted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry.
Participation is voluntary. Should you agree to take part, you will be asked to answer a few questions about the effects of COVID-19 on your firm. This will take no more than 20 minutes.
The information and opinions you provide will be kept confidential. Neither your name nor the name of your business will be used in any document based on this survey. We intend to share with you a brief report of the aggregate results as soon as they become available.
This survey is a follow-up of a first data collection exercise conducted by UNIDO between April and July 2020 in Thailand with the aim of providing a rapid assessment of the immediate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to offering new insights to the analysis of the evolution of the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic on manufacturing firms, the results of this second survey are expected to inform and guide the policy response of the government towards the design and implementation of economic recovery and resilience measures for the industrial sector.
