NOTE:
A. ULAs work requires a commitment of 5-7 hours a week.
B. ULAs duties vary by course but in general an LA is expected to:
Attend lectures.
Adequately prepare for answering questions from students about the lecture material
Grade lecture assignments determined by faculty instructor
Facilitate in-class activities
Be available one week prior to the beginning of classes for ULA meeting with instructor
Register in TLTC333 Academic Peer Mentoring (1 credit). This course will provide the fundamental skills to support lecture activities (for new ULAs only)
Register for 1 credit course (BSCI279T, section TBD or TLTC399). This one credit course is designed to give credit to ULA for time spent with faculty helping inside and outside the classroom.
