To: Sod Growers:
It was decided by the Georgia Sod Producers Committee of the Georgia Urban Ag Council (UAC) to survey sod growers for information that includes turfgrass species, turfgrass cultivars, and number of acres grown for each turfgrass. This information will be used in planning future member benefits, education programs, and summary data for governmental affairs.
This data will be summarized and will include all species and cultivars grown in production for each grower and will include names, addresses, websites (e.g. url), and telephone numbers for all growers that returned the survey. The data will be posted on the UAC and University of Georgia Turfgrass websites, www.urbanagcouncil.com and www.GeorgiaTurf.com. The websites will be used as a reference for landscapers, homeowners, golf course professionals (i.e. superintendents, architects, and contractors), park and rec. managers, County Extension Agents, and anyone desiring a specific turfgrass species or cultivar. Listing on the websites is for information and contact purposes only, and not intended as a promotional outlet.
