The US Composting Council (USCC) is conducting this benchmark survey to better understand how transportation agencies and related professionals currently use or evaluate the use of compost in stormwater management, erosion control, roadside vegetation, and other transportation applications.

This effort is part of a broader USCC initiative to identify opportunities and barriers to expanding compost use in infrastructure projects nationwide. Insights from this benchmark will help inform future educational resources, technical guidance, and outreach efforts designed to support compost adoption in the transportation sector.
