Informed Consent

My name is Alicia Keating and I am an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Landmark College. I am conducting a study with the Landmark College Institute of Research and Training under Senior Academic Researcher Cyrus Shaoul. The purpose of this study is to learn more about stigma experienced by people with LD/ADHD throughout their lives. We are asking for your voluntary consent to complete a survey which should take around 3-6 minutes, but certainly no longer than 10 minutes. The goal of this study is to learn how stigma affects different groups in the LD community. The results of the study will be published via a research article in 2018. The results might also be presented at conferences.

There are no known risks to participating in this study. Some of the questions will ask about generalized feelings about attitudes towards people with LD/ADHD, if this is upsetting to you, you can opt out of taking the survey at any time.

There are no individual benefits to taking place in this study other than the opportunity to contribute to research on the topic.

All data collected in this study will remain confidential, the survey does not ask for any identifying information.

Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study for any reason at any time. There is no penalty for withdrawing from the study or choosing not to participate.
