Section 1 Communications
Communications has been difficult in the past, but new avenues of presenting messages has advanced significantly. Most members no longer read bulletins in the Union Boards although some still do and that form of communication will continue.  There are now podcasts, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and many other social media sites that may be used to freely disseminate information. The following questions are designed to provide you with the best tools to receive notifications during this round of negotiations
2.Do you use social media to get your news?
3.What is the primary platform you use?
4.What is the secondary platform you use?
5.Do you listen to podcasts?
6.Would you view updates from the committee on social media?
7.All updates from the committee will be distributed by the Division and the Local Unions, if updates were done using social media, who would you prefer present that information?
8.Would you like to be notified when updates are posted?
Section 2 Bargaining Direction
Using normal bargaining under the RLA, mediated talks or not, the average number of issues that usually are completed in a calendar year are between five and ten. The company may propose limited issue expedited negotiations. The upside of any such proposal would mean a quicker Agreement providing economic gains sooner. The downside of that type of bargaining is issues that are not as high priority as the top asks would remain as they currently are in the Agreement. Understanding that basic formula we present the following question;
9.If the company approaches the IBT and offers limited issue expedited negotiations, would you be open to that proposal?
