The award-winning Taste of the Arts Festival is a free, family-friendly festival in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne. NIPSCO STEAM Park will be located in Freimann Square, next to the Arts United Center.

Each year, STEAM Park engages youth and families of all ages through the use of interactive arts activities that incorporate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

The 2023 Taste of the Arts Festival is proudly presented by Arts United and 3Rivers Federal Credit Union.

Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions thoroughly.
  • If selected, your organization’s booth must remain staffed during festival hours from 11:00am - 6:00pm. Upon request, festival volunteers can serve as a "booth sitter" for unscheduled short breaks, or for scheduled longer breaks. You can request more information about these services below.
  • Participants assume all responsibility for loss, theft, destruction of goods, and personal injuries to itself, its employees, agents, representatives, and visitors. Participants will indemnify and hold harmless Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, its employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, patrons, and festival attendees from all claims arising from any act, omission, or negligence on behalf of the participant.
  • Participants agree not to deface public property, and agree to accept liability for any damages to caused to another participant's property.
  • Each participant is bound in all respects by these Terms and Conditions. Violations of these Terms and Conditions may result in the forfeiture of any currently assigned booth spaces.
  • It is the sole discretion of the Taste of the Arts committee to select participating groups at the festival. All applicants will be notified of acceptance no later than 30 days prior to the event.

Furthermore, it is a vow to not hold Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, its employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, festival sponsors, patrons, and festival attendees responsible for any personal injury or damages.

* 4. Activities should be interactive, kid-friendly, and tie into a minimum of ONE of the following: Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics. Your activity should also feature an artistic element.

You must propose an interactive activity in order for your registration to be considered complete.

* 6. Booths will be provided with the following:
  • One (1) 8' table (please bring your own table cover)
  • Two (2) chairs
Participants should plan to bring their own tent (no larger than 12'x12') if they would like. Arts United will not provide tents and cannot guarantee placement of your table in the shade.

* 7. Please let us know if your activity requires electricity (110-outlet only). Please bring your own extension cords. Power cannot be guaranteed and should not be requested for items not related directly to your interactive activity.

* 8. Please let us know if you plan to request a "booth sitter" to periodically watch your space while you take short breaks. If you have concerns about having enough of your own staff / volunteers in order to participate, festival volunteers may be able to take a longer shift at your booth as long as they’re accompanied by at least one (1) other person from your organization, staff or volunteer. * 10. The Taste of the Arts STEAM Park is proudly sponsored by NIPSCO/NiSource. Organizations participating in STEAM Park will be required to provide verbal and/or written recognition of NIPSCO, 3Rivers Federal Credit Union, Arts United, and Taste of the Arts. 

Arts United will provide your organization with the necessary images, text, and/or scripts to provide this recognition in the weeks leading up to Taste of the Arts.
