Thank you for your interest in a volunteer placement with Taronga Conservation Society!

Completing this expression of interest adds your name to our tertiary student registry. Based upon your interests and availability, when relevant opportunities become available we will send you information about the formal recruitment process. Given the volume of applications we receive, we are often unable to accommodate everyone that is interested. We encourage you to also consider other volunteer opportunities.

To work as a research intern you must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled at a tertiary institution. A reasonable level of fitness is needed for most roles and all volunteers are covered by the zoo's insurance policy in case of an accident.

As a volunteer you have a responsibility to:
· support Taronga’s values, staff, animals, students and other volunteers;
· Ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you;
· be respectful and courteous to visitors at all times;
· behave in accordance with the volunteer code of conduct and abide by Taronga’s policies and procedures;
· be aware of safety requirements at all times;
· contribute to a high level of care and respect for our animals;
· strive to inspire others about wildlife and its conservation
· enrich your own learning, experience and enjoyment.
