About this Survey

How have you or your family been impacted by COVID-19?

The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) is continuing to monitor how people with disabilities and their families are being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, TCDD conducted two surveys to learn about the effects of the initial shutdown, school and workplace changes, social distancing, and disruption of daily life.

Now, as COVID-19 has been present for one year, we are conducting a third survey to learn how you and your family are dealing with the ongoing situation. Has your access to services and basic needs improved, gotten worse, or remained the same? Do you have what you need to stay safe and healthy? And finally, what are your top concerns now, and how do you plan to adjust as our communities continue to reopen and vaccines become available?

We are conducting this short survey to collect stories and information from self-advocates, family members of people with disabilities, and others from across Texas. Your answers will help us inform legislators, state agency administrators, and other leaders so that they understand how their decisions could impact you. Your responses may also be used to raise awareness about how Texans with disabilities are experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please take a few minutes to share your Texas COVID Story. If you need help completing the survey or need the survey in an alternate format, please contact Mary Rochford at mary.rochford@tcdd.texas.gov or 512-437-5435.

Thank you.
