Dear Business Partner,

Thank you for taking time to participate in TAUC’s 2020 Union Craft Labor Supply Survey conducted in conjunction with the Construction Labor Research Council (CLRC).  The responses from our survey – the ONLY union-specific one of its kind that focuses on construction and maintenance – provide for a detailed, data-driven picture of the current state of the labor supply throughout the United States! The resulting data set allows for educated decision making and action that can both strengthen our industry and increase market share.

Launched in 2015, the survey has been continually enhanced based on the feedback of a wide cross-section of previous respondents, including more than 3,250 contractors, labor representatives, owner-clients and construction association representatives. This survey will drill down into the specifics of both regional and national labor supply trends and further assessment of the union craft workforce. New this year, the survey addresses the utilization and frequency of per diems, a key topic for many organizations.

Your responses are confidential, submitted anonymously and will be analyzed to create a final report that will be made available via TAUC’s website (www.tauc.org) this spring.

Please feel free to contact Daniel Hogan, Senior Director of Industrial Relations, at 703-524-3336 ext. 119 or dhogan@tauc.org if you have questions or comments. Results from the four previous surveys can be found at www.tauc.org/laborsupply.

Again, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Steve Johnson
