About this survey

The Forced Marriage Initiative, a project of the Tahirih Justice Center, launched in 2011 with the mission of providing free and confidential support to individuals from anywhere in the United States who are facing forced marriages, either domestically or overseas. A particular issue many of our clients under age 18 have faced is a lack of clarity over their ability to access emergency housing when fleeing gender-based violence.

This national survey aims to evaluate the level of access that married minors have to services at shelters across the United States, and to better understand any limitations to services.

This is an anonymous survey. Responses will only ever be shared in aggregate, and no individual respondent will be identified in any public materials.
