The Surry County Community Health Assessment (CHA) is done every four years to understand the health and well-being of people in the county. All local health departments are required to complete one, but each county’s CHA is a little different. In Surry County, the Surry County Health & Nutrition Center leads this work with help from over 20 partner organizations. The CHA is important because it helps decide the county’s top health priorities for the next four years, which can affect funding, programs, and future health efforts.
