This past school year (2018-19), the Special Education Finance Section implemented a new process for completing the Part B Final Expenditure Report (FER) by pulling expenditure data from the Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR) and having that data auto-populate into the Part B FER. Aside from fixing any ASBR coding issues and revisions and setting up the new coding structure in within the accounting system, this process was intended to help reduce the time and effort required to complete the Part B FER and improve the accuracy of reporting expenditures. Please take a moment to answer the following questions regarding the time saved within in your district/LEA. Again, do not count the time spent fixing coding errors with ASBR revisions or setting up the new coding structure in the general ledger.

The superintendent may need to consult with the special education director and/or the bookkeeper to help respond to these questions. Only one survey should be completed per district.

Thank you for your participation.
