Overview
Spark Renewables is seeking an enthusiastic fourth, final year or graduate law student to fill a part-time role as a legal intern or paralegal.
Start date
- March 2023 onwards.
Status
- Part-time: days and times to be agreed with successful candidate.
Remuneration
- Yes, this is a paid position, paying above the award rate.

- Exposure to a variety of work including reviewing and assisting with negotiating/drafting contracts (e.g confidentiality agreements, project agreements, land agreements, procurement contracts); preparing advice, updates and submissions regarding the evolving legal policy and regulatory framework surrounding the renewable energy transition; interpretation of environment and planning law; participation in industry forums and in stakeholder engagement activities.

Requirements
- Graduate or final year of law degree, ideally with electives covering energy, renewables, environmental and/or planning law.
- WAM > 70%.
- Fluent English and strong written and communication skills.
- Competent IT skills.
- Highly motivated worker with an ability to work to your own initiative.
- Passion for the environment and striving towards a more sustainable, carbon free economy.
