Overview
Sacred Spaces is a national not-for-profit that is dedicated to building healthy Jewish communities by preventing and responding to sexual abuse and other abuses of power. Sacred Spaces works across the lifespan and across denominations.
With funding from the Sephardic Foundation on Aging, Sacred Spaces created Seivah: Sacred Aging, an initiative designed to support Jewish organizations in helping older adults age with dignity and respect while building institutional capacity to prevent and respond to elder abuse.
Sacred Spaces is offering a free train-the-trainer program to equip individuals working and volunteering in Jewish organizations with the knowledge and skills to lead a curriculum designed to introduce the topic of elder abuse and promote discussions.

Sacred Spaces will lead and teach participants through a curriculum that can be adapted for their needs. The following is the elder abuse content covered in this basic training curriculum:
- Jewish Values
- Prevalence and Contributing Factors
- Signs, Forms, and Impact
- Role of Jewish Organizations in Prevention and Response
At the end of the train-the-trainer, participants will be prepared to bring this one-hour presentation to their own community or lead a discussion about elder abuse.
Who Can Register
This program is designed for any professional and lay leader working in Jewish organizations who have the interest in building their skills around speaking about elder abuse and a commitment to using the curriculum 1-2 times over the course of the next year.
Note: This is not intended for elder abuse intervention specialists or social workers who already specialize in this field.
When Is the Program?
Sacred Spaces will offer this program twice with up to 16 participants in each group. The smaller size allows for time for everyone to practice delivering the content.
Each session is two hours long running starting at 1 p.m. Pacific/4 p.m. Eastern.
Session 1: December 4th & 9th 2025 and January 13th & 20th, 2026.
Session 2: January 29, February 12, February 19, March 19 (all 2026 dates).
Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Before completing this registration form please check your calendars for your availability.
If your chosen group is full or you are unable to commit to all dates, you will be added to the waiting list and notified if a spot becomes available.
Once you complete this registration form, a Sacred Spaces staff member will follow-up with next steps.
