Background

The Australian Government is working with Kidney Health Australia to develop the first National Strategic Action Plan for Kidney Disease (the Action Plan).

The Action Plan is an important step in tackling kidney disease in Australia. It will identify the key priority areas and actions necessary to combat kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with kidney disease. Priority will be given to tangible actions that can make a positive difference within 2 to 5 years.

The Action Plan will be developed on the basis of widespread consultation with kidney patients and carers, health professionals, peak bodies and local, state and Commonwealth governments and the wider Australian community. The Action Plan will be delivered to the Government in April 2019. As an important stakeholder we are seeking your input for the action plan development.
