Sound to Olympics Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge

The City of Bainbridge Island has been working with a design team to develop concepts for the general style and form of the proposed bicycle and pedestrian bridge that will cross SR 305 in the vicinity of Knechtel and Vineyard Lane.

The crossing will connect the center of Downtown/Winslow west of SR 305 with neighborhoods and businesses east of the highway and the ferry terminal. The project will promote all modes of non-motorized transportation with connections to the STO corridor and improve connectivity across the highway—island residents should be able to bike and walk for some of their trips to/from Winslow rather than drive.
