Each week you will learn a new subject and you will be tested on the information.  In addition, you will learn a new group of plants each week, and you will be tested on both the Latin and common names as well as plant characteristics. A lot of studying will be required to pass the course. 10 hours outside of class per week is the average. More is expected if you have not been engaged in an academic setting for a long time. Please wait to apply if you cannot commit this much time to studying.

* 6. Classes are held on Thursdays, January through mid-May. You are expected to attend ALL 18 weeks of the training program. Exceptions can be made due to illness or family emergency, however, any student who misses more than two sessions will be dropped from the course.  Can you commit to attending ALL sessions?

* 7. Master Gardener trainees must have access to a computer with internet connection. Communication from the coordinators will be done by email and one test each week will need to be taken online (according to your own schedule). You will need to be able to receive and send documents electronically. Do you have access to a computer for these purposes?
