STEM Learning Ecosystems Community of Practice - Attitudes, Awareness & Asset Survey

Dear STEM Workforce Stakeholder,

We are a small group of local leaders from business & industry, K-12 and higher ed, and other sectors with a focus on developing a STEM ready workforce.  In our shared goal to catalyze greater collaboration among the many area STEM leaders, we are hoping to initiate a conversation to consider the development of the Binghamton area STEM Workforce Ecosystem.  This approach is a growing global movement to better connect all STEM stakeholders toward a shared vision of a thriving economy and a STEM ready workforce able to meet the demands of 21st-century careers. (More information on this international movement is available at www.stemecosystems.org)

This survey is being administered by our partner in this work, TIES (The Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM).  A version of this survey has been taken by thousands of STEM stakeholders over the last five years to assist other communities in collaborating better and cultivating their STEM Ecosystems.

With this STEM Attitudes, Awareness, and Assets Survey, we hope to begin to map what is happening in our region and look for opportunities for collaboration and growth. The STEM Workforce Ecosystems initiative will help our community design a system and create the conditions that allow us to more intentionally connect, share and learn from and with local leaders and, importantly, to leverage local STEM investments to maximize ROI and student impact.

This survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete.  We are looking for your opinions and awareness of the current STEM landscape and assets.  Don’t worry if some of the topics are outside of your scope. We appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey and ask for your complete candor.

Thank you for your STEM workforce leadership in our region.

Regards,
