STEM Initiative Models (1 hour and 15 minutes presentations)
Provide the attendees with examples of effective STEM Initiatives that are currently being implemented in your district, school or classroom. Perhaps you started a Coding Club or a robotics program, or created a Makerspace with sponsorship from an outside organization. Is your district actively providing career guidance on STEM careers? Share how you’ve achieved buy-in from all the stake-holders – parents, staff, and students. Please submit a proposal that describes your experience planning and implementing your specific STEM Initiative Model. We want to hear about it!
Interactive Workshops (1 hour and 15 minutes presentations)
We recognize that STEM education is evolving. What are the current STEM pedagogies being employed in STEM classrooms today? Are you team teaching to implement STEAM or STREAM projects? Or have you used Phenomena as an effective STEM strategy? What is the array of STEM education strategies that have been incorporated into your best practices? How does CBL or EDP look in your classroom? Please submit a proposal for a session that includes audience participation and provides attendees with handouts or resources based on lessons that have already been implemented with students.
