City / County Housing Survey

Introduction

The San Joaquin Valley Regional Planning Agencies (COGs) have commissioned a major study of housing trends, barriers, and best practices in the Valley. This effort is intended to assist your jurisdiction and the other San Joaquin Valley cities and counties with preparing your 6th cycle housing elements and increase housing supply and affordability. As a part of that effort, we are asking city and county representatives to help us understand your needs related to the Housing Element Update, what successes and impediments you’ve experienced, and what would be most helpful for you and your community.

Why Participate in the Survey?

If you can take a few minutes to help us understand local government needs, successes, and challenges related to increasing housing supply and affordability, the SJV REAP Committee will be able to better channel housing resources to you. We also hope to use this information to approach HCD and the legislature as a unified, Valley to promote ideas, action, and funding to help you, your colleagues, and your elected officials more effectively address housing issue in your community.

Survey time should be about 20 minutes.
