Course Description

Fire, Explosives, Chemical Identification and Comparison  
This three-hour training session is designed for investigators submitting evidence to the CFS Chemistry Section, with an emphasis on collection and packaging of items rather than interpretation of results. Topics covered include Fire Debris, Explosives, and Chemical Identification and Comparison (CIC).  This session will consist of a lecture component and hands-on exercises. 
By the end of the session, participants will demonstrate knowledge of how to submit items for analysis related to food/product tampering, noxious substances, lachrymators (pepper sprays), lubricants, and dye-pack dye (MAAQ).
