GRANT APPLICATION

In conjunction with the 2020 STEM Education Month celebration, South Carolina's Coalition for Mathematics and Science is awarding 5 grants to South Carolina schools and/or classrooms.

The grants support the development and implementation of new projects and/or units that enhance preK-12 STEAM education as related to the Profile of the SC Graduate. Grantees received up to $2,500. In addition to the monetary award, grantees received 8 hours onsite STEAM focused professional development valued at $1,500.

Timeline
January 15, 2020: Applications Due (online submission ONLY by 5:00 pm)
February 12, 2020: Notification of Funding
March 26, 2020: Winners are recognized at STEM Education Day at the Capitol in Columbia
May 1, 2021: Project completed
June 4, 2021: Final report due

Narrative Description (word limit 500) – Clearly describe your innovative project/unit idea and its connection to STEAM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Humanities, and Math) fields, as well as the Profile of the SC Graduate. Describe what will be done, how it will be done, who will do it and the timeline for implementation. Also, include how your requested funding is essential for the successful implementation of the project/unit.
