This is the official officers ballot for the Society of Women Engineers Central New Mexico (SWE-CNM) section for fiscal year 2023 (July 2023 - June 2024).

You must be a section member to vote, so please enter your member ID in question one below. Ballots with no member ID will not be counted. If you do not have your member ID you may contact SWE Headquarters (hq@swe.org) to have your member ID emailed to you.

Polls will be open until midnight on Friday May 21, 2023.

Your current and future officers will continue to work hard to achieve success for SWE-CNM and appreciate you taking the time to vote.

Want to get more involved in the Section, but on a less formal basis? We may have a position for you. The other Section positions that do not require election are:

  • Outreach Chair – Be involved in hands-on outreach activities for children grades K-12
  • Website Chair – Maintain our SWE CNM website to help us spread the word about the section
  • Social Media Chair  - Manage our social media accounts and post about the latest and greatest going on the section
  • Newsletter Chair – Create a quarterly newsletter with photos and short articles about our section and members
  • Professional Development Chair – Assist in planning two professional development events per year for our members to grow professionally
  • Advocacy Committee – Become involved in advancing STEM causes within our State
  • Awards Committee – Assist members in creating applications for SWE and local awards so our members can be recognized for their achievements
  • Book Club Coordinator – Plan and lead two book club events per year, either in-person or virtually
  • SWE-CNM Historian – Review and maintain records for our section
  • Collegiate Counselors for UNM, NM Tech, and NMSU – Serve to connect the SWE collegiate section to the SWE CNM professional Section
  • Scholarship Committee - Track and manage existing scholarships, assist with fundraising events, endow scholarships as needed, interact with the SWE Board of Trustees and NMEF
Multiple individuals can fill these positions and work together to achieve section goals.
