The L.D. Pankey Dental Foundation is proud to announce its fifth annual video scholarship competition for current dental students. Named in Dr. Donald C. “ Ozzie” Asbjornson's honor, a giant in the Pankey Family, teacher, mentor, friend and beloved by all, it is truly fitting to have a student scholarship named after him as he was so influential in shaping so many young dentist's minds.

The purpose of this scholarship is to support the dentists of tomorrow and encourage a culture of lifelong learning. Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary registration to attend Pankey's 2017 Annual Meeting being held at the exclusive W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, September 14-16.  A stipend for incidentals is provided.  Recipients will be paired with a mentor from within the extensive Pankey community throughout the conference.  The approximate value of the scholarship is $1,900.00. 

Eligibility:
Student applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited dental school and must be in academic good standing. Applicants must submit an application questionnaire, references and a brief video (3-5 mins.) detailing why they chose to pursue a career in dentistry and explaining their personal practice philosophy.

Scholarship Rules:
• The scholarship must be used in the same calendar year in which it is awarded.

• In the event the winner cannot attend the annual meeting, the selection committee may award the scholarship to another applicant.
