Kia ora,

Thank you for your interest in the second stage in the community engagement process about secondary education in the Rolleston area. You may remember in the second half of 2020 the community was engaged with to discuss future education provision in Rolleston in terms of amended zones for the primary schools as well as options for new secondary provision. Additional secondary schooling provision is needed due to the projected growth in the area.

The survey will assess your preference of two options for future secondary education in the area:

1.    A new independent state year 9 – 13 school with its own enrolment zone

2.    A second campus of Rolleston College, separated by age

The survey will ask some basic information about you so we understand who is engaging in this process and what school(s) they are (or are going to be) affiliated with. Following this, you will be asked to provide feedback on both of the above options. If you do not know the answer to something or can’t think of what to say, you may leave any questions blank.

The survey will be open until the 12th of March.

Prior to taking the survey, please make sure you’re familiar with the information included here and have this handy while you take the survey. This includes maps of the enrolment zones as well as a video explaining how teaching and learning would occur at a second campus of Rolleston College.

The information you provide will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of this consultation. Any identifying information will be removed. The feedback you provide will help the Ministry of Education understand the community’s preferences. By clicking next, you consent to having the information you provide used in a report which will inform future steps.
