San Francisco’s Public Research Program

English | Español | 中文 | Tagalog

Sign up to take part in public research with the City and County of San Francisco to improve access to City services. If you live or work in San Francisco (or use City services or websites), we want to hear from you!

CivicMakers
is helping San Francisco Digital Services connect with community members so we can learn from you and improve services and programs designed for you. These may include:
  • Online services, like getting an SF City ID card, a marriage license, birth certificate, business assistance, or a building permit, applying for affordable housing, or paying a parking ticket.
  • New initiatives, like COVID response and economic recovery efforts.

Here’s how it works:
The SF Digital Services team usually hosts at least one research session each month with space for 5 participants in each session.
  1. You sign up to join our research community. It only takes ~1 minute!
  2. When there’s a relevant study, we’ll send you an invitation. (It can take up to 2 months for us to match you with a session.)
  3. You’ll meet with a researcher for a one hour session.
If you have any questions or comments, please send an email to: sfdigital@civicmakers.com

NOTE: Because of the coronavirus outbreak, all sessions right now are virtual via video call. You will need to use your own laptop or smartphone and have reliable internet.
