Region 9 Economic Development District is updating the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for 2026. This plan sets priorities for the next five years in housing, jobs, infrastructure, natural resources, and quality of life across Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties.
Your voice matters. The strength of this plan depends on hearing from the people who live and work here — residents, business owners, students, workers, and community leaders. By sharing your perspective, you are helping identify challenges, highlight opportunities, and shape decisions that will guide investments in our region.
This survey looks at how well communities meet basic needs (housing, food, healthcare), provide safety and stability (infrastructure, public services, disaster resilience), foster belonging (community identity, civic engagement), and create pathways to prosperity (education, workforce, entrepreneurship, recreation, and quality of life).
Your participation is key. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential. Results will be combined with other community input to create a regional picture of well-being and opportunity.
Thank you for contributing to the future of Region 9. Together, we can build communities where people not only live — but thrive.
